One phone opens filetransferx.com and chooses Send Files, the other opens the same site and chooses Receive Files. Scanning the QR code, or typing in the short transfer code, pairs the two regardless of whether either one is an iPhone, a Pixel, a Samsung, or anything else with a modern browser.
Best for
Sending a photo to a friend when you don't have their number saved, sharing event photos across a mixed group of Android and iPhone users, or moving files between two phones you own that run different operating systems. Once the transfer is done, there's no shared album or link left over to clean up.
