Why we built this
Moving a file between your own devices, or sending one to someone nearby, is a task that should take seconds. In practice it usually means emailing yourself an attachment, hunting for a cable, or installing an app just to use it once. FileTransferX is a browser tab that does the one job it needs to do — pair two devices and move the files — without asking anything else of you first.
What we optimize for
No accounts
Sending or receiving a file should never require signing up. Open a tab, transfer, done.
Nothing stored
FileTransferX is built to move files between devices, not to hold on to them. There is no file server sitting in the middle.
Works everywhere
One website that works the same way on a phone, a tablet, or a desktop — no app to install on either end.
Fast by default
Every design decision favors getting your files onto the other device quickly, with a live, accurate progress view.
